About EarnGood

Start here if you are trying to understand the product itself.

What exactly is EarnGood?

EarnGood is a Parent–Child Digital Balance, Safety & Growth App being designed to connect healthier screen habits, family trust, routines, motivation, responsibility and gradual independence in one family system.

Is EarnGood only a screen-time or parental-control app?

No. Screen time is one important part, but EarnGood is being designed around a wider family-growth model that also includes safety, goals, habits, EG Reward Points, skills, achievement records and future readiness.

Why are there separate Parent and Child experiences?

Because the product is designed around participation rather than one-way control. The parent guides and sets appropriate family expectations, while the child can understand goals, progress, requests and responsibilities more clearly.

What age group is EarnGood intended for?

The current product direction is focused primarily on older school students and young learners moving toward greater independence. Final public eligibility and age-specific terms should follow the released product and applicable legal requirements.

Does EarnGood replace parenting or family judgement?

No. EarnGood supports family decisions, routines and communication. It does not replace parental judgement, conversation, care or professional advice where that is needed.

Screen Time, Safety & Family Use

How EarnGood approaches digital balance without turning the family relationship into surveillance.

Does EarnGood secretly monitor children?

No. EarnGood is not designed to be a secret-surveillance system. Safety and digital-balance functions are intended to work within authorised, proportionate family-use boundaries.

Can EarnGood always block every app after the time limit ends?

Not necessarily. Android platform rules, device permissions and store-policy requirements can affect what type of enforcement is technically and lawfully available. Where hard enforcement is unavailable, EarnGood may use approved reminder or alert-based approaches instead.

Can a child ask for extra screen time or an exception?

The product architecture includes a Parent–Child request model so a child can request an exception or additional time and the authorised parent can decide whether to approve it.

What is the purpose of safety and location features?

They are intended for genuine family-safety situations such as current/latest location, commute support, SOS or temporary safety needs — not routine fear-based tracking.

Can more than one parent participate?

The EarnGood architecture supports authorised family roles and scoped permissions. Exact access available to each adult should depend on the permissions and family-role structure configured in the released app.

Goals, EG Reward Points, Skills & Portfolio

How everyday effort can connect with motivation, achievement and future readiness.

How are EG Reward Points earned?

They can be linked to parent-approved goals, routines, responsibilities or other eligible family processes. The idea is to make effort and progress visible rather than reward the child randomly.

Are EG Reward Points money?

No. EG Reward Points are family motivational points, not cash or stored money. A parent may independently choose to recognise progress through a real-world family reward.

Can points be linked to pocket money, a bicycle or a movie?

Yes, the parent may choose family rewards such as a pocket-money decision, saving toward a bicycle, a movie outing or another approved goal. EarnGood itself does not cash out the points.

What is the Achievement Portfolio / Skill Passport?

It is designed to help families preserve selected evidence of meaningful projects, activities, skills, leadership, certificates, volunteering, achievements and reflections over time.

Does every university require a portfolio?

No. Requirements vary by university, country and course. Some applications ask students to explain activities, achievements and responsibilities; some creative or design programmes may require a formal portfolio. EarnGood’s role is to help the student keep genuine evidence organised so it is available if needed later.

Founding 30,000 Families & Membership

What “Be a Member” means and what happens before a Founding Family number is allotted.

What is the Founding 30,000 Families programme?

It is the intended first cohort of up to 30,000 paid family memberships when formal membership processing opens, creating a defined early community around EarnGood.

What happens when I click “Be a Member”?

At the present stage, it means expressing membership interest or submitting a membership request. EarnGood can process the request and contact the family when the relevant next step is ready.

Does submitting a request mean I have already paid?

No. A membership request is not payment. Payment should occur only at the proper stage of the membership process.

Will I get a Founding Family number immediately?

No. A number should be allotted only after successful membership processing and the applicable payment step. A request alone is not a confirmed membership allotment.

What benefits are planned for Founding Families?

The current architecture includes founding identity/number, priority consideration for selected pilots, priority renewal, a protected renewal advantage and structured feedback opportunities. Additional benefits should be announced only when confirmed and deliverable.

Privacy, App Status & Support

The practical questions families may want answered before launch.

Is the EarnGood app live now?

No. EarnGood is currently under development. The public website is being prepared first so families can understand the product direction and Founding 30,000 programme before full app launch.

Does a membership request give me immediate app access?

No. Membership interest, payment processing and app availability are separate stages. The website should never imply immediate access while the app remains under development.

Will EarnGood support Indian languages?

The website and product architecture are being designed for multilingual family use, including English and major Indian languages. Exact launch-language availability should match the released product.

How will families get help if they have a question?

The website will include a Contact / Be a Member route, and the product architecture includes parent-help and guidance support. Final support channels should be published when operationally ready.

What happens after I submit my interest now?

EarnGood can retain the membership-interest request in its processing workflow and contact the family when the next relevant step is ready, such as membership processing, payment invitation or a launch update.

Still have questions?

If a family wants to understand more before joining, the next step should be a simple contact or membership-interest route — not confusion, pressure or unclear promises.
